Representative Experience

Marital Dissolution

At Delfino Madden, Casey works with clients at every stage of divorce and is experienced with the unique challenges they face. She advises clients regarding various issues including calculation of support, characterization and division of assets and debts and custody and parenting schedules. She helps them understand their legal position and evaluate their options to make the process of divorce less intimidating.

Casey communicates directly with clients at the outset to gather detailed information that is critical to enabling early settlement, if possible. She is involved in all aspects of litigation including financial disclosures, discovery, mediation and trial. She will pursue remedies for clients both pending final divorce and post-judgment. She has appeared at ex parte and short cause custody and support hearings and obtained favorable results.

Casey previously completed a judicial clerkship in Nevada Family Court, serving a judge presiding over a wide variety of family law proceedings including divorce, annulment, parentage, guardianship, adoption and surrogacy. She conducted research and drafted orders to resolve hundreds of family law motions and petitions. Having experienced the perspectives of both judges and litigants, she offers specialized insight when advising clients on a myriad of family law issues.


Custody and child support disputes arise both in divorce as well as when unmarried parents end their relationship. Casey achieves agreements regarding custody and parenting schedules where possible and counsels clients navigating the process of child custody recommending counseling where custody is in dispute. In the event agreements are not ultimately reached, she advocates for clients seeking custody determinations in contested court proceedings.

Domestic Violence

Casey has successfully helped clients obtain domestic violence protection orders. She previously served as a Family Court volunteer advocate for victims of domestic violence, where she assisted those seeking emergency restraining orders outside of normal court hours complete restraining order applications.

Settlement Negotiation

Casey has been involved in both informal negotiation and mediation to help clients reach final agreements. She drafts settlement statements and mediation briefs as well as comprehensive Marital Settlement Agreements that are particularly tailored to address the unique aspects of clients’ cases.

Civil Litigation

Before coming to Delfino Madden, Casey completed a judicial clerkship in general jurisdiction trial court in Nevada, where she worked on numerous civil trials, from researching evidentiary issues and drafting orders addressing pre-trial motions to reviewing and settling jury instructions. She also completed an externship at the Nevada Supreme Court where she helped resolve multiple civil appeals.
