Tiffany Owen Monroe

Associate—Employment Law, Business Litigation

Tiffany Owen Monroe draws on her business experience when advising employers, with the goal of limiting their liability and resolving disputes. Tiffany counsels and defends employers on matters including recruiting and hiring; employment agreements; wage and hour laws; performance standards and disciplinary actions; privacy; leaves of absence and reasonable accommodations; terminations; and compliance with other state and federal employment laws.

When litigation arises, Tiffany aggressively defends clients against wage and hour violations, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and other employment and business-related claims. Tiffany also has experience successfully settling around class actions. Her strategic analysis and straight-forward guidance allows employers to make the best decisions for their bottom line, while staying on the right side of state and federal employment laws.

Prior to practicing law, Tiffany managed a $50 million real estate investment fund in San Diego, California. This experience gives Tiffany an acute awareness of the struggles employers face in their efforts to keep up with the ever changing landscape of California employment law.

Tiffany volunteers regularly for Lawyer in the Library, the Social Innovation Challenge, and the Solano County Superior Court’s Pro Bono mediation program. She is a Board Member on the Solano Community Foundation and Women Lawyers of Sacramento. Outside of work, Tiffany enjoys backpacking, hiking, and scuba diving.
